?¿? who we are ?¿?

And yes, I’m using the royal we, because I’m both the frightened, seasick greenhand wondering why we are sailing into the blank portions of the map and the grizzled captain at the helm keeping the ship steady as I steer into the unknown. And that is, without doubt, the most comprehensive maritime metaphor I’ve ever indulged in. You’re welcome.

And also, you’re welcome! As in you are welcome here. I’m happy you’ve decided to explore the site and find out what we are all about. Simply put, here at Choose Your Question headquarters, we are all about questions. Asking them and finding out what truths we will stumble upon in an effort to try to answer them. We don’t guarantee any answers, of course, because the questions we ask aren’t obvious ones, like Is Friends a good show? (No) or, on a scale of 1 to 10, how handsome am I? (11). Our questions run a little deeper than that, but we find the reward comes, not necessarily from arriving at answers, but from being brave enough to ask the questions in the first place.

By the way, I’m Josh, the guy in the picture wearing the fancy blue shirt. I’m also the creator and host of Choose Your Question. I’ve been a searcher all my life, and I finally decided to put my mental and spiritual striving to some practical use (other than trying to figure out which flavor of Blue Bell ice cream I’m in the mood for). I live in Austin, Texas, with my two sons and our horizontally challenged cats, Jack/Jackie/Jackie Boy and Fi/FiFi/Fiorella. We crack jokes, eat cheeseburgers, watch Formula 1, and throw Koosh balls at one another. It’s a life I would describe as “pretty dang swell.”

So, thanks for stopping by. I hope you’ll stick around long enough to listen to a few episodes and become a supporter of the show. There’s nobility in searching for the truth alone, but it’s a lot more rewarding to search together.
